Midnight Dances

We need no music,
For the song is ever playing
In our hearts when we hold
Each other.

Our steps are slow and easy,
Like a boat rocking gentle
On a quiet pond with nowhere
To go.

The darkness in the living room
Knows no anxiety as there
Is only faith here filled with hope
And love.

You hold tightly to my arm
And I press you in closer
As though we promise we will never
Let go.
